Limelight On Special Creations
Cooperative School Services and the Prairie Arts Council have partnered to organize “Limelight on Special Creations” for many years. Our goal is to celebrate Disability Awareness Month by showcasing the artwork of students with disabilities in an art show. This is a great opportunity for students with disabilities to be recognized by for their abilities. There are eight school corporations served through Cooperative School Services (Benton Community, Frontier, Kankakee Valley, North Newton, Rensselaer Central, South Newton, Tri-County and West Central). Art teachers from each school are asked to submit artwork created by students with disabilities. The artwork will be displayed for the public to enjoy at the Carnegie Center, typically in February and March.
